How can you tell? Based on my hourly downloads, the official stats haven't been updated in 24 hours now :| Kinda hard to get the stats pull tweaked when the stats are down for so long!

US-D lost a member yesterday....

It's weird...he seems to have internet at home and if the pc doing the stats update is not on the inet, why just not let the server that's on the inet do the update...I just can't seem to understand why getting to the server is such a big problem...doesn't he trust himself over weekends or what...

The Muon1 stats server is now on the inside of a UK government laboratory's very, very secure network. This means to get VPN dial-in access I need to pay them £50/month or something to set it up. I'm personally baffled why it is so expensive. I also don't know quite why they need it so secure (to my knowledge we're not designing weapons), but it is unusually so, perhaps because of the involvement a Tier 1 node in the LHC grid project, meaning we have a multi-Gbps internet connection, which they don't want hax0rs getting hold of, obviously.

Have you considered taking donations to cover the monthly fee?

If half of the dpad participants contributed £1 you would be covered for over a year I'm sure many people would be willing to contribute. Just be very open with what is contributed (share those numbers) and put a cap on what you will accept monthly
