T989 rooted, but not really.

So I followed this guide to root my phone, everythign went through file, but it did not root my phone.

When I install any app that checks my root, like titanimum back up, it says I don't have root.

P.S I also updated to the latest CWM 6.0.4.3

I've never had a issue with odin not rooting a samsung phone it always works perfectly

Is there another file I should use instead of CWM-SuperSU-v0.87?

Another quick question.
I am currently running stock 4.0.3.
I am trying to install Kit Kat 4.4 from here.

It says I need a jelly bean radio(UVMC6). Now I have ICS on here now. Should I go ahead and install samsung Kies JB to get the JB radio ? Or is there an easy way to put on JB radio on my ICS stock ?

How should I proceed?

There should be an XDA thread with all the modems in CWM zip form. Or you can Odin just the baseband.

So I just download the UVMC6 Radio in zip format, reboot to CWM and just install that zip? And now I have a JB radio? Simple as that?
