t41 problem?

i recently noticed with my new t41 that with the ac power plugged in, there is a weird whine coming, like when i scroll down a window, for any cpu related activity essentially

It's quite a known problem that spans many different manufacturers if I remember correctly.

uncheck the box to let windows do power management to the USB hubs in device manager

hey.. i just got a t41p - and dont have the problem you have...
but I have another one:

the far left side of the plastic case is very .. bendable - if I press down on it, it gives like 3-4 mm... I can feel this looseness when I press enter for example - is it the same with you?
also the left ultranav button (the one with the red line) makes audible click noises, while the right one doesn't - is yours the same?

dont have the whine problem anymore after unchecking power management, but yes the left side does feel a little loose too,

Just so you know you will lose about 30 to 45 min of battery
With no power management going to the USB hub

actually i did a restore which essentially fixed the problem, but i just removed the power management too to be sure,

Hmm.. I have 4 times USB Root Hub listed under device manager, is that normal?
Also - the 7200rpm is MORE than audible on my machine.. even though I read multiple places, that
it was almost too quiet to hear...

+ I just found a dead pixel 🙁((

How are your t41ps so far? I can't figure out if they are supposed to be like this, or if it's just
some models that are a little quirky.
