Hmn, they seem to be exactly the same. If I were in ur shoes, I'd be damn confused :D

However, note that the R40 has only 16 MB Ram. Also, u didn't mention if it was 7500. Wat 'bout the R40 processor...is it PM as well?

I'd get the T40. It's lighter and the materials used in its construction are stronger (Titanium composite base, Magnesium cover in the T40 vs. standard plastic in the R40)

the warranty are
A 15 day satisfaction guarantee
One year limited warranty on notebook and desktop systems
All Pc's are Refurbished by A+ Certified Technicians
All PC's are Refurbished and tested to original product specifications
Attractive prices deliver outstanding value for budget wise buyers
i don't think there are choice to upgrade the warranty to 3 year or add complete care.

Hey Chuck, just to address some of your warranty concerns, the last time I checked, most of the R series (all but the highest end R series machines) ship with a 1-year warranty. I would buy the T40 - you have two weeks to test it to make sure you like it.
