wouldn't a movie with a budget like T3 be considered a flop with anything less than 200mill??

or at best, not really a great success at 145 mill?

who the hell cares how much money they made or what list it made or how "general population" rated it?

It was one of the movies in a LONG LONG time that I had good time watching and didnt have any regrets for spending $6 on :D

hmmm

i don't remember posting anywhere that i didn't enjoy the movie. matter of fact in the T3 thread of the time, i stated that i did enjoy the movie.

but financially i have to think that 145 mill is not anywhere near where they would have expected to be.

also it makes you wonder about arnolds star power.

After the quality of the first two movies, I felt robbed. I thought the movie sucked teh ass. BTW Considering it cost approx $180 million or so to make(if I remember right) I'd consider it a medium sized flop :p

Worst $8 CDN I've ever spent, I'm glad to see it flop, albeit somewhat.

I believe it made more than T2. OF course that is with higher theater prices.

With international receipts and dvd sales, it will EASILY recoup it's money in spades.

Anything under $100 million after one month would be a concern for an $180 budgeted movie.

They should get James Cameron as it's his baby and he KNOWS how to make EXCEPTIONAL movies.

That's the domestic take to date, I would imagine. Consider the merchandising, the overseas revenue, and future DVD/video sales plus some licensing tie-ins with video games. There's more to movie revenue than just U.S. ticket sales.

Cameron obviously wasn't doing what he knows when he made this movie then :x

It will make more overseas, plus DVD sales will be huge for it also. The people who made T3 already said they consider it a success and would do a T4(even without Arnold). But no, I don't think it made more money than T2. boxofficemojo.com is a good site to look up movies and how much they make

145 mill for the US is pretty good. You guys have to remember that people do see movies in other parts of the world. And as everyone knows, the DVD rentals and sales will be huge.

Even if it ends up making a small amount of money, it will definitely be considered a major disappointment. I guarantee you the producers had hoped for a major blockbuster, and they obviously didn't get it.

Of course the producers hoped for a major blockbuster, but even if they make a few million a piece off of it, I don't think they'll be complaining.

the movie made 140 million so far over seas also,

140+ 145 = 285 million total

total production budget was 200 million + 40 million advertising = 240 million

made a 45 million profit from theaters alone, and will make alot more more from dvd, and rentals...

Movies have to share the ticket sales revenue with the theaters that play the movies.

ahh yea, forgot to factor that in

i would still assume it makes a profit from video and movie sales, not too large of one.. but still a profit
