Land's End Super-Ts, as low as $10 on sale. Wash in warm water not hot, medium heat in the dryer.

The best pocket-t's I've ever owned came from Land's End...before Sears-Kmart bought them. About 10 years old...and I'm still wearing them. In fact, I have one on as I type this...

I buy the kind with a lycra blended in. Target and Kohl's have inexpensive brands. If you are not fit/in shape, you probably do not want this type, as they are form fitting. They keep their form, even collar does not stretch out, and it will keep you cooler in hot weather.

Your problem sounds like you are washing your t-shirts in hot or warm water. Try cold wash...and low heat dry...Ive NEVER had a t-shirt shrink on my...ever.

They always shrink to be short, but some how stay wide, so they fit really bad and I can't wear them. I lose a lot of money on t-shirts. Who the hell wants to hang dry

I thought you all should know.

You don't know how to buy and maintain them. What do you prefer to wear? Polo shirts? In my experience they are a tougher fit. The sleeves are a bitch, most of them look silly or you look like you are ready to play golf. Button up shirts are a hassle and you generally have to iron them. 95% of the time, I'm in a T shirt. I have so many I rarely buy them. I get a lot of freebies too. I buy 6 packs of white ones and know how to keep them looking fresh and WHITE (Oxyclean soaks), line dry.

I'm not sure it's so much the quality, as the weave style. Champion Tshirts tend to do that, and they're pretty high quality. It very rarely happens to me, but I have a few that have done that. A general tip for drying anything... Use lower heat, but leave it on longer. That helps reduce shrinkage, and prevents heat damage to more delicate clothes.

ha. champion is not quality dude

I like alot fo their stuff they make now, all teh low end du pont coolmax stuff ETC

but its not high quality if its clothes you buy at Target

go buy some Mark Ecko TShirts and you will see high quality materials

T-shirts are a mixed bag, but most of my polos and henleys are american eagle. They're good stuffs, and the polos didn't really shrink at all. Henleys did a bit though. Also, AE socks are zomg comfy

I buy my regular white undershirts from JC Penny's by the truckload. So I don't give a shit if they wear out, shrink, stretch or whatever. The quality changes depending on where they are made, the canadian ones kind of sucked, the hondorus ones are good and I've got some from a 3rd area that are really thick and tough but a little too heavy for summer. Basically it's a wild crapshoot but they are cheap and good to use as undershirts. I spend more money on the nice t-shirts (yea yea) that I don't plan to wear constantly.

my biggest problem with clothes is seemingly arbitrary sizing.

I bought 3 XL t-shirts last week from different makers... 2 fit me like tents and yet the third is kinda tight

ive seen this a ton as well. my mom bought me a couple silk shirts at some place in the keys while on vacation, same size i normally wear but fit like they are two sizes too small.

as for tshirts, if i come across a cheaper tshirt that shrinks up a bit it doesnt take much to get it to normal. wet my hands, stretch shirt downwards. works every time. i could do the wash cold and hang dry, but im more of the mindset of "toss everything in washer, add soap and walk away" method of laundry.
