Where are you getting that from?

Personally, I actually wouldn't mind it. Pioli wouldn't be against it (and apparently is looking for older players...), and Haley wouldn't take Owen's shit, so I think they could handle it.

Of course, I've never understood how people can say one player can ruin a team, let alone a wide receiver. I laughed when they were talking to the one guy on the phone and asked if T.O. is a Hall of Famer and he said that the teams he's been on haven't won, like that is a receiver's fault. I understand people don't like him, but if he's capable of disrupting your clubhouse that much then your team clearly has other issues.

Perhaps, but look at the guy's track record of teams in disarray in his wake. (SF, Philly, Dal). The guy is clearly an extremely destructive factor. I think the fact that he's always been a tremendous talent is what makes him destructive: if some crappy player acts like he does, he gets booted in 5 minutes, no issues. But this guy has talent so everyone thinks they can keep things under control to benefit from the talent... but eventually he destroys the locker room.

He's a nice guy, media & fans just portray him wrong. Can't question his performance on the field - whatever you say about him off. And we all know how much of a dirtbag McNabb turned out to be. Cowboys did well last year, not T.O.'s fault that Romo was shit this year.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA. Nice guy. Please. My boss and I played pickup games up with him at 24 Hour Fitness all the time. (Beltline and the Tollway) He's just as big a dick in person. I like how people come out of the woodworks to defend the guy. You must be his internet savior

He was a performer on the field - no doubt. But he's the Manny Ramirez of football - talented when he wants to be. Otherwise just chokes and drops balls until he gets what he wants. He'll be on a new team and tear it up for a few months/year, and then perform the same crap.

Too bad the 'Boys didnt sign TJ. He had to go to a dump like Seattle.

QFT The exact same thought popped in my head when I read the thread title. At some these teams will realise he is not worth the drama he causes. Hell, when he went to Dallas he swore those days were over with and yet, here we go again.

while i agree that ted thompson does not do much in FA, i do not want TO playing on the packers. besides. the packs receiving corps are not to shabby on there own right now. they should be worrying more about getting there defense together then the offense.

Id like to see him go to the 49'ers, so when he tries to pull the same crap such as yelling at coaches Singletary punches his teeth out.

What if he went to the Saints? He would bump heads with Brees and Bush but that would be a sick fantasy combo...

hmm The Raiders are the natural landing place for someone like TO.

It would be hilarious to see him and ocho-cinco on the same sideline but I doubt even the Bengals are that stupid.

Jacksonville strikes me as a place needing a receiver but I don't think they're stupid enough to grab him.

Duane Bowe is a stud and Pioli knows better so the Chiefs won't take him.

Minnesota might because Ziggy is looking to prove he is there to win (in order to get a new stadium or get moved to LA).

He could go back to his original team the 49ers but I think Singletary would rip him a new one.

I'm not sure how much they have in cap space but my gut feeling is that he ends up with the Panthers (I think Moose is about done) or (most likely) the Bucs.

The Bucs? Owens and Antonio Bryant on the same team? Oh good lord. That's a coach killing combo. Bryant had his shit in order last season. Not sure how long he can keep the clean act up. But that would be a pretty wicked receiving corp. Add in the bad blood between Garcia and TO....oh man. I just don't see that one working out.

I'm thinking Minnesota is going to make a run for him. They wanted Hoozyermama bad and that fell through.

Lions got rid of Williams because of the same antics (not to mention getting Dallas to over pay for him).

TO would be second fiddle to Peterson and I don't see the Tarvaris Jackson - TO connection doing anything. I do agree that the Vikings will probably make a run at him.

Is Garcia still the QB for the Bucs? I thought they weren't gonna resign him... Brian Grease?

Hard to think of the type of team where TO would work out well.

Can't have any good receivers, or else TO will cry about not getting all the passes.
Can't have a strong running game, or else TO will cry about not getting ENOUGH passes.
Can't have a team with a great defense, or else TO will cry about not getting enough credit for victories.
Can't have a team with a bad defense, or else TO will cry about the offense not getting the ball enough.

I guess a good fit would be a semi-pro league where TO can catch 20 passes and score 4 TDs every game but still get as much publicity as he would being the star on an undefeated NFL team.

The Lions also have Calvin Johnson who is better than Williams I would say.

However, It's not looking like the Lions will get even an average QB at this rate.

I doubt TO will end up in Indy as they already have a prima donna player.

Yeah, too bad TJ signed on the Pacific, where he wanted to play, rather than joining the underachieving circus in Dallas... please, get over youself.

The Cowboys paid Owens a $12 million signing bonus just last year, included as part of a new four-year, $34 million deal. Dallas will take a roughly $9 million salary cap hit with the release of Owens.
