He signed the contract, he should be a man and stand by it. I guess he's having a hard time feeding his family... :)

Hope the Eagles leave him out to dry.
Yeah but without him the Eagles would be also rans instead of the favorites to win the NFC Title again.

Do teams get to restructure contracts if players turn in crappy performances?
Uh, no, they fvcking fire them. Really simple.

NFL contracts aren't guaranteed.

Basically TO wants most of that money guaranteed cause he know he is 31yrs old and time is growing short for him to make that money cause in the NFL youre being paid 7million one season and the next your a cap casualty. I agree totally that he shouldn't have signed it if he didn't like the deal.

I think its ok for players to want to renegotiate their contracts when they exceed expectations, as long as they return part of their salary when they fail to meet expectations.

If he shouldn't have to be responsible for what he signed, neither should the owners when the players suck.

Sure, from a purely statistical view, he posted comparable receptions/yards to his regular season stats, but only one of those receptions was an example of his great ability to catch the ball at a strategic moment/place and run it into the end zone. Obviously a lot of this has to do with the Pats' defense, but at the end of the day, being at the top of the NFC these days doesn't mean a whole lot when you go up against the AFC's top teams.
I'm not going to argue about what he said or didn't say. Nobody works for free.
TO is sure as sh!t not working free, not even if he was lowest paid player in the entire NFL. He has maintained that playing good football came ahead of high pay checks. It didn't bother him that his original Eagles contract was lower than he might have wanted because he was going to join the Eagles and they were going to go win the Superbowl.
Well, I guess reality is setting in so he wants to switch to Plan B.
Nobody's saying he didn't want to be an Eagle, but he came in a played how he played and lived up to every last bit of hype. You can't deny that he's playing above his contract right now.

Playing "above" his contract, IMO, means the Eagles won the Superbowl. Otherwise, he met, but did not exceed expectations.
