With the 39.99 plan, you can get 600 whenever minutes plus Unlimited N/W. I believe for an addition 10dollars a month, you can get unlimited mobile to mobile(that's for T-mobile only). There's some deals going on now for T-Mobile. I saw over at howard's forum that they have it for california(LA area) where you get 1000 anytime minutes with Unlimited N/W. The next city was somewhere in Ohio I think. I believe it was Cincinnati??

I had T-Mobile for like a year now. I like it very much. Clear connections and I always get a full bar of service. Online billing and minutes tracking is cool too.

i'm in colorado near denver and the coverage stinks. when you can get a signal the sound quality is great, but you can only get a signal 50% of the time. i'm punting as soon as my year is over.!

cingular reception sucks in central valley, except for when you are on I-5.

I don't like cingular for the fact that they have the crappiest text-messanging setup out there. 10 cents for a send AND recieve. Sure you can prepay, but they take away a text from the prepay whenever you recieve a text!

Maybe I'll switch to t-mobile, because i really like the unlimited n/w and mtm and texting. However, right now, cingular has rollover, and i'm on family plan. Hopefully cingular revamps its texting service.

I just dropped T-Mobile this month for Verizon after being with them for a year. In Los Angeles, their coverage is ok, nothing spectacular. However, when I'm at school in upstate NY their coverage is absolutly horrible. So, I gave up my t-mobile promo plan of 1000 minutes and unlimited weekends for 39.99 for verizon with 400 minutes and unlimited n/w. So far, Verizon's coverage has been far, far superior to T-mobile in both upstate NY and LA. T-Mobile was very good customer service wise, but there was no point in having 1000 minutes if I couldn't use them because of coverage issues. I'd definelty go back to T-Mobile if there coverage improves.

I have had tmobile for two months. for the most part I have continual coverage even when I'm on the highway. Around the city I always have enough. I like their price and I LOVE their T-zones for $2.99/month (you get a meg - which is a surprisingly large amount when in mobile mode - for email, surfing net, etc.).

I'm going to be in NJ and eastern PA mostly...occasionally northern NH -- I don't know if there's much of anything with coverage there, though.. :p

Also probably going to FL once in a while, but I probably don't have to worry about coverage here.

I have been with Voicestrem/T-Mobile for 4 years or so... I always liked them. Only problem I have is recent, barely any reception at my university... Nobody else seems to get much reception either though.

I called up t-mobile to cancel my 69.99 family plan and they said they were coming out with a cheaper one with less minutes.
Just to let you know.

I live in NYC currently but I make frequent trips to my family's house in NJ (Essex County). For the most part my reception is above average and have had very little reason to complain. My only qualm with the service is the lack of reception in my house in NJ. Everywhere else in NJ and NYC has been fine. So to sum it all up I'd have no problems recommending T-Mobile.

I have T-Mobile and used it in Chicago for about a year and it worked great for me.... their coverage area was good too, I was a field tech so got to see where they covered and where they didnt... 95% of places I went it worked fine. Now Im in TX and it works fine down here too.

I've been a customer since they were aerial and I haven't had any problem.
I currently have the family plan for 800minutes and free l/d, no roaming, free tmobile to tmobile calls and I'm happy with the service. I use the t-mobile to t-mobile minutes a lot.

Let me just say, I use Verizon, and currently feel that they can do no wrong (OK, that's an exaggeration). However, if Verizon ever pisses me off, T-Mobile is the next one I will try. I've already had Sprint, and they're not so hot, IMO.

T-Mobile seems to have their areas better covered than Sprint, with better customer service, for less money per month.

they've been ok for me. I'm pretty happy with them when I'm outside but in several places indoors, my Verizon friends will have full signal and I don't have anything.

They are a decent service but I will be switching to Verizon when my contract is up in November.

My comments: AT&T is t3h suck (personal experience), and I have an interview with T-Mobile for a recruiting position later today. Go with T-Mobile. ;)

I like Verizon better but T-mobile is above average.

Just stay away from ATT, Cingular, and Sprint and you should be good.

Whats wrong with ATT??

I hate Tmobile.. They're currently trying to stick my brother with two monthly $400 bills. They didn't upgrade his service to the next level when he requested it and now his overage is terrible. I am currently dealing with it (my bro said he'd just let them send it to collections) and I spent 2 hours on the phone only to find that they can do nothing unless I write a damn letter to public relations..

Then, during the blackout in New York (I was at La Guardia airport at the time), my dad's and mom's cell phones worked (ATT and Sprint)... However, my bro and my cell phones didn't work (Tmobile)... Tmobile's network was down for 2 days in that area. When my phone could finally connect to ATT (which it's supposed to do if Tmobile is down), it wouldn't allow me to make anything but emergency 911 calls.

Fvck Tmobile. I have to dial twice every time I call someone because the first call dissappears. I have had more dropped calls in the past 8 months of Tmobile service than I've had for the previous 5 years with two other cell phone services.

Also, I live in Gainesville... Tmobile says Gainesville is a prime coverage area... It's a damn good thing I hardly ever leave Gainesville - cause' the signal here is weak as sh!t already.

I think my dad has US Cellular..and it works fine here in G'ville..

On another note..know anybody who does clutch installs on FWD imports? After 130k, mine is starting to get soft..lol

Yes but remember cell phone service varies between geographic region.

Here in Portland, OR T-Mobile is great.
