T-mobile to offer unlimited streaming?

Looks like TMo might be doing with steaming what it did with music. I love that they are doing all of these improvements.

Would be cool. I'm glad they're stirring up the competition, just wish their service was as good as ATT and Verizon.

They'll really be freaking out the other carriers if they do that, and as a TMobile customer, I'm excited, I switched to them because of unlimited music streaming, I stream music daily, and have for years.

That's why I dropped it when they added unlimited music.

Wow this will be huge. I hardly ever stream music but I stream video all the time. I won't need unlimited data anymore.

Netflix, HBO, all that needs to be there is YouTube and I'm all covered.

The bulk of my data is through netflix. I'm very close to to say bye bye to land line internet.

Woaw, cool if it happens - it will genuinely change how I use my phone during my commute because I currently wouldn't want to eat through bandwidth. Upgraded to the 10gig plan and barely use it now since spotify/apple music is already included. good stuff

I just chatted with T-Mobile and they said it does, though specifically they're talking about the music streaming. We have the Simple Choice Plan so any data allotment in that plan gets the perks like unlimited music streaming. We'll see if the same applies to video streaming, but I feel like the answer will be yes.

If so I could drop unlimited data which saves me $30/month. Awesome if it works out!

Even with unlimited music streaming I still pushed close to ten gigs last month.

And you get the 7 gigs of tethering with the unlimited line too.

Would be a good reason to connect your phone to your tv I'd bet.

Mind you, about music streaming, even the throttled 2g speeds can pipe music through well enough, so that was rarely a consideration.

OH, sorry - I thought you were referring to t-mobiles "free data for life" tablet offer, not the simple choice plan. I'm talking out of my ass, I think you're right.

As I'm not a Netflix/HBO streamer, this would just mean a more congested network for me. It's great that T-Mobile is doing these things, but I wish you could opt out of some of these features for greater bandwidth instead.

if netflix/youtube is not counted against my bandwidth....and music already doesn't count....

...I doubt I even go through 1 Gig/month at that point....most of my bandwidth would probably come from useless ads on the websites i read.
