T-mobile preorders taking forever for anyone else?

When I pre-ordered my iphone 6s+ on 9/18 I was told that I would actually get the device a day or two early. Then the backorder was 1 week, then 2 weeks, now 4-8 weeks to a vague "hopefully before too long."

Is this normal? I know there's a big demand but I see 6s+ in store and it's obvious that t-mobiles not satisfying pre-orders before sending store inventories. Is that kosher? When I raised a stink they said there's nothing that can be done, and that I couldn't even change colors to one that's in stock (the silver is in stock). Should I go ballistic on t-mobile or just wait it out? I'm not usually this impatient but my s6 edge borders on unusable because of the paltry battery life and t-mobiles response to months of me complaining (I was trying to get an exchange for 5 months) has always been indifferent shrugs.

Could have something to do with the recent mega-hacking problem experienced by T-Mobile.

Not sure. What's weird is that my wife's preorder (9/15) went through without a hitch and she has her rose gold 6s+ in hand, and that's the most "rare" of the iPhones supposedly. I'm just annoyed that you can walk into a t-mobile store and get one. Why pre-order if stores get stock priority?

I've had a couple issues with TM and a tweet at John Legure gets you to the CSR team that has a lot of juice...
