Don't be surprised if T-Mo DOESN'T let you grandfather it in and knocks you down to the 5GB option after next month.

I know this article has more to do with T-Zones and other really old plans, but it sets the precedent.

That's a good idea.

But my interest in switching to TMobile greatly diminished once AT&T slashed the 10GB Mobile Share rate. It's only $109 for two lines sharing 10GB after discount now, and it would be $100 on TMobile for the equivalent plan for a lot less coverage and there's no discount I qualify for that I've found.

AT&T basically killed any interest I had in going to TMobile last month. I was just thinking out loud about the future.

I changed my plan to the "Unlimited Nationwide 4G for $20" today in hopes it will be grandfathered in since it's prior to March 23, but there are no guarantees.

Other than Android's settings ---> data usage is there a better free or cheap (under $2) app which gives detailed data usage and possibly daily, weekly or monthly totals?

which is why i'm glad I have the $20 plan. I rarely tether but I use a lot of data.

Yeah I'm sticking with me $70 plan.

They did this with some people but as far as I know it was only for people with single line accounts, and little to no family plans were changed as they cancelled the transitions until further notice, if not indefinitely. That being said some people also made out like bandits, getting $65 500 minute plans with unlimited minutes converted into the $70 Simple Choice equivalent, only now they're paying $45 or $55.

T-Mobile's also under new management since this "precedent," right?

There might be some fine print about unlimited plans being activated prior to the switch but after the announcement, but so far it seems like they try to do right.
