T-Mobile might be bought by a French company instead of Sprint

Two things. It's almost a guaranteed certainty that if the SoftBank purchase of TMobile US goes through, that the current TMUS leadership will take over the combined company.

Secondly, it's a French company? All Masayoshi Son will have to do is threaten them a little bit and they'd probably back off.

And... the offer has already been rejected. Looks like the fix is in for T-Sprobile.

Not surprising it was rejected. They were offering half what Softbank was offering.

With the growth that TMO has shown, I don't think Softbank stands much chance of getting regulatory approval either. But, our politicians receive generous compensation from corporations.

If softbank tells the government that the Tmo leadership group will be in control of the combined entity, wouldn't be surprised if it get approval. Even with the success tmobile has had, as far as dictating the market it is still verizon and at&t with everything else in the "and others" category.
