Hi all,

I just discovered that T-Mobile have upgraded their plans (I do not know which ones) to include unlimited T-Zones access via GPRS!

Just thought I'd let people know as T-Mobile have not been advertising it.

i just got off the phone with T-Mobile and they confirmed it - all accounts now have free basic browsing (picture uploads and the like are still extra)!!!!

oh how i love getting more for nothing!

the best part is that t-mobile is just about the only carrier who isn't tacking on a charge to pay for number portability. most of the other carriers are starting to charge anywhere from $0.50 to $2.00 a month!!!!!!

thanks for the headsup!!!

BoKingWen,

Patience is a virtue my friend, they are in the process of enabling everyones accounts. Check your account again in a few days.

The free unlimited weekends and free long-distance gave me in-car navigation on the weekends for free.

Here is what I would do:

I found an ISP in the U.S. that offered a dial-up internet connection for free, that did not require you to use gateway software. I then set up a dial-up connection on my laptop to this number and used my cellphone as the modem. Worked like a charm.

Now I am hoping that I can use the GPRS on the cellphone instead of the dial-up, and thus have mobile internet at any time...but we will see...

You can only download ringtones, and pictures on this free plan. You cannot browse sites like cnn.com or espn.com (wap pages).

At least that is what T-Mobile told me

If you try other WAP sites you will see that you can indeed browse them. :)

with my old 9.99 plan I could access GPRS data via *99# with unlimited access.

I paid nothing for being connected all day. That was cool.

I called Customer diservice. I just changed over to the new 4.99 plan that gives me unlimited data. The only thing I loose is the 300 text messages(in) and 100 outgoing msgs. big whoop, I never used that anyway. I can still send pics for free via email through my unlimited gprs connection.

Too lazy to call T-mobile I wonder the $4.99 unlimited internet plan will work on all the phones in my family plan or just one phone line.

I think for $4.99 a month it is a acceptable price for unlimited interent. The unlimited plan mean the GPRS connection right? If yes I can use my Z600's bluetooth and browse the net on my PDA or laptop than it is a hot deal. :D
