T-Mobile drops HTC 10

For a company that have abandon their fans, it shouldn't come as a shock for fans to turn their back on them.

Has Samsung abandoned it's fans? Many would say so after the s6 and Note 5 but their s7 is selling well. The HTC 10 is, IMO, a good phone. Its audio capabilities really make it stand out.

However, which company is succeeding in today's high end phone market? Except maybe some Chinese companies, basically only Samsung and Apple are successful. LG G5 is failing, as are the HTC 10 and xperia X performance. We'll see how the Moto Z fares.

from the reviews I have read, it seems to be a better phone than s7. the only thing it lacks is water proof. I hope htc survives this.

ZTE is releasing an arguably better audiophile phone for $400, so I'm thinking not. Unfortunate, but unless they make a major businesses pivot, I think they're done.

Don't think samsung has ever abandon their fans, sure, they test out the no microSD card thing and quickly revert it back and each iteration of the S/note series is better than the last though the changes were minute.

HTC, otoh, went three full calendar year with the dreaded big bezel that everyone complained about, has the SD810 overheating debacle, historically abysmal battery life and tend to priced right along their korean competitors while having less to offer. It's no doubt the 10 is a great phone, but given the current landscape of new phones seemingly churning out every week with better performance/price proposition, it'll be hard for HTC to reclaim those fans.

Samsung has only abandoned us on the tab pro line with a tab s inclusion 4 months after the pro release and the zero updates to the pro lines sw. Made me abandon them on the tablet front.

Tablets aren't going anywhere, the future is hybrid Chromebooks

Good point. Forgot that they've abandoned the tab pro line. Even the tab S line is more of an afterthought, being that it tends to lag in performance vs samsung's mobile phone division. Tab S3 supposedly getting the exynos 8890 so at least they're not letting the ship sink just yet.

The Axon 7 is what I wished the HTC 10 to be, and I would have likely bought it...will likely buy the Axon 7 Mini assuming the audio performance is nearly as good as the regular Axon 7. Last time I paid full price for a phone was the HTC M7, which was an amazing phone IMO, and I was looking forward to getting a sequel similar to the Axon 7, but that's not what we got with the HTC 10 unfortunately.
