Um.. usually all places charge activation fee unless you sign like a 2 year agreement.

Verizon charges 1 Month of whatever plan as your activation security deposit.

Amazon also has the sidekick for $19.99

I was checking Ebay and I saw bids exceeding over $200 for a Sidekick. I dont understand why people are people 10X as much if they can get them at Amazon...

I got one from www.letstalk.com
You can get a coupon code from www.danger.com for $65 off + $50 T-Mobile rebate + $150 letstalk rebate = $35 AR, free shipping. I got a family plan and picked up a Samsung SGH-R225m which is free + $50 MIR, my total = -$15.

I've had it for almost 2 weeks now. It's really useful for web browsing and even as a basic PDA.

For phone service, I think it's great. It's wider so it's much easier to hold than most modern cellphones. My only gripe is that I get sweat from my face on the screen when I talk on it :)

Anyone else get one? That does seem really sweet with the additional price drop on amazon.

I would like to know if anyone ordered from these folks as well.

I can easily get new phones for me and the wife and switch to T-Mobile and it won't cost me a penny (after rebate of course) so I would really like to do this.

Please post feedback on this place.

Thanks

Greg

Have any current T-Mobile customers been able to find a good deal on a Color Sidekick?

It's $20/month with voice plan, and it includes unlimited internet access. That means web browsing, AIM, text messages, e-mail, etc.

It's a lot more than just AIM, in fact I hardly ever use the IM client.

And yes, it's bulky compared to the average phones.

You got it. That plan would run you $30/month. It includes pay-as-you-go voice serve, but it's 20 cents/minute.

people who currently have contracts with T-Mobile are probably buying them
