If this post is not appropriate for this forum, please move it to where it belongs. But I think this is important to warn people when they see their cell phone bill sky-rocketed.

My first bill, used only 68min out of 400min.

My second bill, they charged me $50 for going over the 400min.

I have family plan, so had to add up all the total for each line and came out 3xx minutes.

Called them up, first they were saying that when I still had my 400min plan I went over by 172min then I switch to the 500min plan and everything reset to zero except for the total total min count. So they explain the total that I use to add up is only for the 500 min plan. I did the calculation and the number just say "lier"... 400 + 172 + 3xx = 9xx. That is way way more then my previous bill.

Called them up again, a diff rep say if I want to do the hard work I can go in and all every single call that use my minutes from the start to end of the 400min plan and I will get the over of 172. The rep was very nice and really trying to help me out but I can't have him on the call trying to add every call. So he did all he could and still no solution. So I say Thanks to him and went do my homework.. adding up every stinkin minutes.

To make things harder, the call waiting appreviate (A) and the Tmobile2Tmobile is appreviate with (F) but if Tmobile2Tmobile get put on calal waiting then it gets appreviate with (A) instead of (F). So now I have to distinquish between the 2. The previous Rep advice to look @ other calls with that number see if its (F)... if so, then that's a Tmobile2Tmobile. Luckily I don't have many A's.

Add up and the number still come off short on the 400min plan. Only used 3xx min and when the 500 plan start it add another 1xx minutes. But the Rep's all say 500 plan will reset and start things off clean with zero minutes.

Called them up again and another Rep say they been having reports from customer that the minutes get double charge. So he will add my name to that list and some tech will review it. Then I'll hear back from them.

PS: I know my gramma sux.

T-mobile once used the CC number they had on file for me and charged about $130, totally out of the blue. I could not, after speaking to 3-4 people, figure out why they did it. Eventually it was credited to my account, but now I use one-time use CC numbers, and when I make my monthly payment I immediately terminate the number. Those idiots can't be trusted with it.

Cingular sucks more. I was charged for something called "delayed billing" - sounds like they pulled it out of their ass. How can they bill you for minutes in past months retroactivley? They say it's due to their network and how they charge other carriers. How's that my problem?

That plus you can never tell how many minutes you are exactly using with their service - it seems like they keep making billing errors every month and there is not way to stop them. And they start on the 2nd and end on the 1st to screw over people.

Also - their customer service is horrible. I called with a valid complaint in a calm voice and they start getting argumentative, huge wait times, and incompitent unfriendly people.

I'm deffinetly going back to Tmobile after this plan is over.

Cingular sucks! If anyone is thinking of switching to them stay away.

Yeah ever since I switched over to T-mobile I have noticed the difference in customer service. T-mobile advertises that they have the best cust. service, and so far i believe it is true.

Cingular was my previous cell carrier. Canceled when the contract was up and that was that. Hardly use my minutes @ all. I did called their rep a couple times and I got the same argumentative rep.

I like T-mobile for their great and friendly rep. But they need to provide and train their rep on their products/service more. I got mix answer when I call them. But they took a step farther try to help and that is an A+ in my book. 🙂

I havent tried TMobile yet, but AT&T and Cingualar suck. I dont know what happen after the joined together, but I moved from OK to TX and I wanted to chang my number. I called them twice and all I got from them is that they abandoned OK area and so they cannot chang my number to TX.....
WTH, I will terminate this when my contract ends. D*mn ATT and Cingular, stupid

I was also getting charged local minutes on my account when I did not even get over my free minutes. I prefer Nextel.

Welcome to utility companies people. Spint has raped me every month for the past 3 years I've had them. Unfortunately they've screwed up my contract so many times, it has forced me to renew over and over again so I still have another bloody year with them.

Ugg.

Not their fault they 'abandoned' the Oklahoma area. Unfortunately Oklahoma was one of the 13 (i believe) markets the FCC denied the merger in. Therefore they sold off all their rights in the oklahoma area and its kind of in limbo right now. Blame the FCC for that problem, its not Cingulars fault they cant take over the Oklahoma area's AT&T accounts, trust me, they want to.

calling your voice mail and browsing Tzones uses up minutes too, dont forget to account for that.

i think AIM might also use minutes, not on that one though.

had a similar problem they keep on finding ways to charge you extra i upgraded my rate plan in middle of the month so they pro-rated me and therefore caused me to go over they didn't let me even use my roll over minutes since once i switched plans my roll over minutes go down the drain. i had over 2000 roll over min. and then they pro-rate me on the new plan for the rest of the month turns out instead of getting a bill for $100 i got a bill for over $400 plus there customer service sucks they keep on arguing with you. you're very lucky if you walk away with a few dollars credit.
