Hello!
I'm new to overclocking but eager to try it. I've been reading about some of the programs useful for overclocking, TAT being one of them. It seems to be very highly recommended so I want to try it out, its just I can't get it to work! I get an error message every time I try to start it. "Invalid Processor" the same error message I would get were I using a Pentium4 (I suppose) as that processor is not supported but I'm not! I got a brand new Intel Core 2 Duo with Gigabyte GA-EP35-DS4 motherboard (also new) using Vista Ultimate.

I have installed the drivers for the chipset that came with the motherboard. That might not be the latest version so maybe I need to update them but I'm still really puzzled about why it doesn't work and its so irritating as people say this program is the best for stressing your CPUs and measuring temp :(

Happy for any help you can give!

Regards,
B

Many tools are designed to work with a given series of CPUs.

There will be a lookup table for parameters.

If the CPU type is not located, the program will not attempt to run, rather than running (potentially) improperly.

If the program is older than the CPU type, that could explain what you are seeing.

TAT didn't work for me either with an E6750 on a IP35-E. I just moved on to a program that would work.
