I am not sure if it is the right place to ask this question. However I am gonna post it as I came across plenty of smart people in this forum!

I have to do a project for System on chip class. I have some ideas in my mind. However, I didn't finalize anything and still looking around.

Can anyone suggest me some project ideas? I am from hardware background and learning SystemC in my system on chip class. Currently I am thinking about doing something on Network on Chip of multicore processor.

Heh, well, it might be the right forum, if the OP can explain a bit more about his platform and environment, and the other constraints of the problem.

Here are some of the projects we are doing in my embedded class.

A remote door unlocker (connect the device to the internet, unlock the door when signaled.)
A biped ran by a webcam and a beagleboard
A remote control helicopter (harder than you might think)
A hard-drive led clock thingy (Like the laser clocks that write the time in the air by moving something quickly through the air and blinking the lights.)
