System32 File Opens on Boot-Up

My problem is that every time this system boots up, the first thing to appear on the DT is the System 32 file. It had a lot of viruses which I've cleaned up with Hijack This, Avast and Ewido and its running very good now except for this one problem. I've never seen this before. Anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks

Rob

I've seen this before, and it was related to a spyware infestation. After the sytem was cleaned up, I ended up using msconfig to disable startup items a few at a time until I found what it was. I don't remember what it was, but it related to a normal program, so something goofed it up.

Redbeard, you're a genius. I checked msconfig and sure enough there was an item in there:
C:\Windows\System32 that was checked. I unchecked it and - problem fixed. Thank you very much. Not sure how that got in there though. Oh well, thanks again.
