System works the first time......I'm scared

I just got done building my brand new computing machine. Here are the specs:

Tyan TigerMP
2x AthlonXP 1600
512 megs Generic DDR
Promise Fasttrack TX2
20gb Quantam 5400 RPM HD
PNY Geforce3 Ti 500
SB Audigy mp3+
WindowsXP Pro

Get everything put in, turn it on, I hear this mysterious whine.......and it boots into the BIOS.....

I configure the BIOS, install Windows, and start playing around, with absolutely no errors at all. I must've done something totally wrong, cuz your first computer build is supposed to be totally plagued with errors and such. WHY DOESNT MY COMPUTER HAVE ERRORS???!?!? Please tell me if I've done something wrong, because I'm legitimately scared.

Well, everyone I talked to says that its a law of nature or something to mess up your first build. Good experience or something.

You're totally screwed man! You'd better do a re-format quick to appease the computer gods or you can kiss that sweet rig goodbye.:Q

Actually, my first build wen't flawlessly too. No dual CPU's, but I did have to build my first RAID array.

That's my favorite feature of those Tyan boards 😉

EDIT: Why are you using a 5400rpm HDD in such a pimped out system?

You forgot to install the crash at boot software... Rookie mistake. We'll let it slide this time though.... 🙂
