I just replaced the motherboard in my system and it won't power up. The board is an Asus p4p800e-deluxe. The Onboard LED is lit like it is getting power but it won't power on.

Ahhhh damn

I am checking connections. I am hoping it is something stupid

ideas??

Did you plug in both power connections?

Better that than getting a DOA motherboard or the worst case scenario of short-circuiting the board by making contact with the case! 🙂

when i build computers i usually us a screw driver to turn it on first.. that way if something doesnt work u dont have to unhook and rehook again... just make contact with the 2 pins and it turns right now.. that way you know you didnt wire it wrong. Seems like more and more mobo's i buy dont post the first time i put a system together..... and half the time i dont figure out the problem.. i just keep messing with it and then it will decide to work
