System wont Post. No beeps either?? why?

Ok I just finished building a new computer...but it wont post during power up. I am using ASUS K7V mobo. Also:

1. no beep codes, just silence? Any ideas?
2. no video signal to monitor

Motherboard could be bad.

no i think mobo is fine because the hard drives spin up and so do the cdrom...just no video signal???hmmmm

i am using a pci video card...could that be the problem? does this mobo only like agp?
