Hi guys,

Specs
E6600
P5W DH Deluxe
Corsair TWIN2X2048-6400C4
EVGA GF7950GX2.
PSU Silencer 610 EPS12V.

I'm pretty sure I have connected all the necessary cables.
The system powered up. But won't show any display. No beep either.
Can you guys help me point to the right direction? how do I sort this out?
Thanks,

I have a similar problem when i put in a tv-tuner card. It defaults the video out to the tuner card and the only way to solve it was to pull it out and leave it out.
A trouble shooting thing you could try if u have a regular pci video card is to pull your 79xx card out and use the regualr pci.
Also, i looked up your mobo and it is listed as a crossfire board not an sli board, though it possible i didnt find the specific model. Sli is an nvidia product and works with geforce (as your vid card is) and crossfire is ATI. It might cause a problem.
You could check to see if one or the other pcie slots is a primary slot and also that your pcie card has it power from the psu connected (most have this not all though).
Hopefully something in all that will help you.

8pin? from the PSU there is one for the 4pin and one 8pin. How do I connect the 8 pin from PSU to the 4pin on the MB?

Please info

Er...on the mobo there should be an 8pin socket right near the CPU. Your power supply should also have an 8 pin power plug that fits that perfectly. Some power supplies may have 2x4-pin power plugs that you put into the 8pin socket on the mobo. Refer to the instruction booklets that came with your mobo and power supply.

You're using a Dual Core processor. Each core requires a 4pin power supply.

Hmm..maybe I'm wrong then. Asus specifically says that the board supports dual core processors. I thought you needed an 8 pin power input for dual core. Sorry.
Maybe someone who owns the P5W DH can shed some light on this?

Are these in addition to the 24pins for the main input, and the other 4pins that you normaly have on a motherboard?

I know nothing about these 8 pins you speak of...

Also note that you have a dual core processor and I see no 8pin plug on your motherboard.

"the other 4 pins" are usually 8 pins for dual core systems. I honestly thought all motherboards had an 8-pin socket there (all motherboards in the last 12 months or so).

If you look at the 4 pin socket, you'll see a black cap covering the other 4 pins. 4 pins = single core/hyperthreading. 8 pins = dual core. (or so was my understanding)

Wow they are hard to see in that pic...

Did you use all 8 pins? I have a 4400+ and I didn't use 8 pins... but of course I have DFI motherboard and not an Asus motherboard or an Intel chip.

I can't tell if his PSU has an 8 pin connector that will work there, but I know mine doesn't have the connectors. I have not heard anything about needing a special PSU for these processors.

Wouldn't hurt to plug it in if you can, JD32. Also, try another video card if you have one.

Edit:
The P5W DH Delux that he has does not have the 8 pins. Just a 4 pin connector it looks like. I don't think they are needed.
