system wont boot, plz help

Ok, yesterday my system wouldnt even allow me into the bios, found out it was a memory problem. This morning i put new ddr in, and I can get into the bios, and have restored all defualts. Then before it boots windows up, it asks me to choose safe mode or regular. Either option sends me on a cycle, and will never boot windows.

My computer noobness just realized i have not installed any drives, and do not have the driver disc... could this be the problem?

im using windows xp pro
wd 120 gb
soyo p4x400 ultra
256 pny ddr333
ati 9500p

what do u mean u havent installed any drives?

no harddrives are installed? or wat?

as for sending u into a cycle, are u saying it reboots after a certain part? or does it freeze? a more descriptive scenario may help us determine what your problem is.

sorry, meant drivers...drivers for the soyo moboboard(the one i switched to). The cycle goes through the normal boot up process, but before it goes into windows it asks me if i want to go in using safe mode, or normal mode(i cant get into windows, so i have been having to do a mannual power off) No matter which option i choose, it restarts the cycle over again, i think its restarting the computer.

new motherboard... means new processor, or at least reinstalled processor. Are you sure that the processor is getting adequate cooling and that it was installed properly (i.e. with appropriate thermal paste)?

It sounds like it could be an overheating issue. You shouldn't have to reinstall Windows after a motherboard change.
