system won't boot, help!

i got my new build today, and the system won't even boot. when i turn it on, every thing started running, but the monitor was pitch black.

core 2 duo E6300
OZC 2GB PC2-6400 Gold XTC
OCZ 600W gameXtream
GeForce 7900 GT
old HDD

will the HDD be the problem?
 
Maybe 'cause you don't have a mobo? And why do people keep buying OCZ Gold when there are numerous threads reporting it's compatibility problems?

just had threads like this yesterday, and the day before
either bios on your "new" mobo too old, or ram, or ram voltage
 
Well there's your problem. Asus and OCZ don't go together. That mobo's default Vmem is probably 1.8V, while the OCZ needs 1.9V.
