System will not power on.

I set up my new system (first time build). I got everything connected correctly, except for wires that apparently power on the system. I looked in the MOBO manual, and it said that all these pins at the bottom right hand corner are used to power on the system to the power button. It says I need to know which wires are ground and all sorts of things. I got is done, and it wouldnt power on.

I am running a PSU with a 20 pin main connector. The MOBO is a 24 pin connector. I dont believe this is the problem, as a light goes on on the motherboard when the PC is connected to the power. I just thought I would mention it.

I think I got the connections messed up. Is there some site that can help me set up these connections? Thanks!

The motherboard manual should have it listed correctly..the power button is just a momentary swtich, so it doesn't really have a possitive and negative. Try only hooking up the power switch, and disconnect the other front panel wires. I would also be sure you have the 4pin 12v ATX connector hooked up(2 yellow wires, 2 black wires).

Ill try that right after I get out of school.

I do have the ATX four pin hooked up.

Thanks for the help.

The other thing I cant figure out is where all the audio jack and microphone jack connectors go. Whenever I look it up in the manual, it always refers to the onboard audio connectors for hooking up speakers to.
