System Update Tool

I installed Windows 8.1 on my laptop for cross compatibility reasons after using Ubuntu for about 6 years.

I am looking for a good driver update tool. Something that can catch Intel/Nvidia updates, perhaps Microsoft applications, All in one spot.


Example for my request: Machine vendor states my machine is a windows 7 box and thus does not keep Intel drivers updates rolling forward into Windows 8. Direct updates from the Intels driver update tool recognizes the system components as 3rd party and differs the update.

I want to chuck PCs out the window most of the time these days.

I have used SlimDrivers and it seems to be okay.
None of them are really top notch, but at least SlimDrivers can be got for free.

Seems to catch needed drivers even for older hardware on new operating systems.

Why not just use the updates published to Windows Update? They're usually known good. Chipset drivers don't change much, really. Also, I don't trust third part tools...I do trust windows update.
