Here's an attempt at a short description of my problem:

1. Installed an eval version of W2K3 server on one of my PCs, worked fine
2. Upgraded to SP1 and suddenly machine would reboot maybe 3 seconds after W2K3 started to load. Safe mode does the same thing.
3. Did some troubleshooting (months ago, can't remember what I did) and got it working.
4. System was rock-solid on W2K3 SP1 for 6 months until my eval copy expired.

5. I then reformatted the system and installed a licensed copy of W2K3. Worked fine.
6. Installed W2K3 SP1 and system again won't boot. Re-installed several times, first loading all drivers Pre-SP installation, and everything I could think of, system still won't boot.
7. Installed W2K SP4, system has been running smooth for over a month.

The weird thing is the computer ran fine on XP for a year. Then it ran fine on W2K3 SP1 for 6 months, and now it's been running fine on W2K SP4 for a month. It's only during the act of actually upgrading to W2K3 SP1 where things fall down. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
