system tray only in 256 colours... how do i correct

this is a tad ridiculous, but i get aggravated easily. Im running win2k pro, with geforce 4 ti4200 in 32bit 1600X1200. the system tray icons are only appearing in 256 colours. anyone know why this is? or how to fix it?

i dunno if you can. i noticed that too when i was running xp on one system and win2k on another, the systray icons looked like crap in 2k.

You don't, at least not on windows 2k...its a thing they added in windows XP

There's a way around it... a mod to kernel32 in Win2k. I searched Google but couldn't find it, someone posted it here a few months back... keep searching, it's out there.
