System temp higher than CPU temp???

I just built this machine a couple weeks ago. Now, I don't have the best air flow I've ever seen... but it isn't horrific. (I'm not very good at cable management, honestly.)

But up until today, my temps have been about 35 or 36 for my CPU, and about 30 or 31 for my system.

But today the temps rose to about 37 or 38 CPU. But the really bizarre thing is that my system temp rose to about 39 or 40.

I... honestly can't figure out what's going on. I checked all my fans, they're all running.

What would cause my case to suddenly get hotter than the CPU itself?

Are these temps dangerous???
