Question System shutting down, help

I have an old box that I value because some of the programs will only run windows xp. The box is using a
Board: MICRO-STAR INTERNATIONAL CO., LTD MS-
6378(VT8361), with an 800 megahertz AMD Duron, running Windows XP Professional Service Pack 2 (build 2600).
Problem is the box is shutting down on me, after booting up, after about 15 minutes. Hard drive checks out ok.I put a new fan in, still cuts out. Could it be the power supply or the board? Yesterday, it cutout on me when the temps were: Temp 1 29c, temp2 15c, temp3 17c, HDO 25c.
Any help please, Thanks

Shutting down means it completely turns OFF, including no fans spinning, or it freezes or bluescreens or ??? If it completely turns off, do you have to unplug (or use switch on the back of) the PSU to get it to come on again?

The first thing I'd check is capacitors. First the ones adjacent to the CPU VRM power section, then those in the PSU. Look for domed tops, or crusty residue from leakage. If the PSU high voltage side (largest) caps have a plastic cover on top, that can look domed without the cap being domed under it, rather it is the caps on the low voltage side near the output wires that are more prone to failure.
