System sees my microphone but my games don't

I've played around with my Creative Sound Blaster settings so that it sees the microphone I plugged into the back of the sound card. When I go into Control Panel/Speech Recognition and then go through the Set Up Microphone process it sees the mic and registers sound coming through the system.

The problem is when I am in games that should see the mic (Battlefield 2 and Call of Duty) the games don't see the mic when I try to set it up in game.

What settings am I missing?
