Hi, almost always I simply find solutions to my problems by reading but I haven't seen anyone with similar troubles on this one.
Recently my computer started doing this... when I turn it on cold, it boots up and acts normal for about 2-15 minutes and then, suddenly and without warning, it shuts off and restarts... as if I hit the reset button. However, once it does this once, it will not do it again no matter how long the computer is on. I can leave it on for 3 weeks and not have a problem, but if I shut it down for a night, I'll have to go through this ritual once when I turn it back on.
It seems to me that it is a problem that has to deal with the computer "warming" up or something. I've never had a problem like this. If anyone knows whats going on I would appreciate some advise. If you don't necessarily have a solution but at least have a good idea of what hardware might possibly be the source of the trouble I would greatly appreciate that as well.
Once the troubles started I reformatted and it will still do it even if windows xp is the only software on the computer. But only when it's cold.
If I turn the computer on for 5-7 minutes and then restart the computer via the start menu/shut down, then the computer will restart like normal and I won't have any of the unwanted reboots... but it is still a pain to have to go through this ritual everytime.
If you need me to post my specs I can but I didn't want to go into all that if I could just possibly get an idea of what piece of hardware you all might think this could be linked to. Thank you in advance for the replies that I know I will get.

PS It worked fine for about a year before this suddenly started happening and I haven't added any new hardware since I built it over a year ago.
