I am looking for a newbie answer.

My desktop specs is like: AMD Phenom 2 X6 1090t, 4GB G skill DDR3 1600 7-8-7-24, Gigabyte 890fx mobo, 1TB X 2 western digital caviar black in raid 0, gigabyte gtx460 OC, and corsair HX750 ps.

I have one acer laptop aspire 4743 with intel core i3 380m, 2GB ram, 500GB hard disk, integratd graphics.

the question is, both the system run on win 7 ultimate, desktop on 64bit and laptop on 32 bit edition. so when I check ram usage at system startup, the desktop consumes around 1.4GB ram and the laptop around 800MB, why it happens? although both the systems are same after first installation of windows, but they consuming ram in different size? does it mean amd system is not good enough for better memory utilization?

Superfetch. If you don't want the RAM you paid for to be used you can always remove it and send it me :)

64bit OS makes your system more fast and needed at least 4GB of memory to fully utilise it; where as 32bit OS can use only 3.2GB of memory maximum.
So, your system is absolutely perfect.
