Saw them tonight...was just plain wild. But honestly, the mars volta was BY FAR the WORST live band Ive ever seen in my life. We literally had to leave halfway through their performance it was so unbearable. It wasnt like, eh, these guys suck, but Ill still sit here bad, it was pure auditory torture. Then SOAD came on and all was forgiven.

I have always liked SOAD. But the radio has decided to once again play one of THE WORST SONGS ON THE CD over and over again. Their hits are pretty good other than byob but their other songs are the sh!t. I like byob's message but god that song sucks.

I saw SOAD in concernt back in...oh...I think '99. Right around when their first album came out. We'd never heard of them and thought they sucked pretty bad.

But they were on right before a 2.5 hour long show put on by Fear Factory that was hands down the best concert showing I'd ever experienced.

I've seen Monster Magnet in concert (playing before Fear Factory again ) and aside from A LOT of senseless crotch thrusting they were a fun band. Their music gets a lot more of an edge in concert than it does from studio cuts.
