Howdy I have a problem regarding a ECS P6STM motherboard that was taken from the office to be used at home. The system worked perfectly, but now nothing is coming on to the monitor.
It uses a Socket 370 CPU socket, and integrated SIS630E chipset. The system has everything installed, Hard Drive, FDD, 256MB of SD-RAM, and a CD-ROM.
Now when I connect all of the cables and turn the system on and the monitor, nothing happens, I do not hear the hard drive spin up, nor does the monitor come on. The monitor's little LED flashes green, but nothing appears on the screen.
I've tried a different monitor, but the same problem existed. Tried to install a video card, and nothing happened, both screens still showed no signs of life other than the little green LEDs flashing.
The other thing I noticed is that the system would not power down when the power button was pushed. The only way to power the system off is the power switch on the back of the PSU.
Has anyone got any ideas as to what could be wrong? There are no beeps that would alert me to something being wrong... I am stumped.
thanks,
