System not booting

Hey guys,
Well today I was just on my system and it completely shut down. Lately it has been doing that a bit since I oced it but it would restart right after. This time it just shut down. No restart.
I tried turning it on but no go. Waited a bit, even unplugged the power and waited. Nothing. I tried another generic psu and it still didn't boot. So what I'm thinking it boils down to is either the mobo or cpu. Wouldn't it at least start up and post something if the cpu burnt out? I'm thinking/hoping it is the mobo since I can RMA it. What does it sound like it could be?

What were you doing when it crashed this most recent time? Is power getting to the motherboard? You could try to reset CMOS and see if that allows you to boot up. If not, you might have some luck removing one of those sticks of RAM, and everything else that is non-essential. Reset CMOS and try again. You might also think about hitting the power switch after you remove the battery and set the jumper so that you completely discharge the capacitors. You may also consider removing the motherboard from the case and trying it outside - to rule out shorts.

Since your RAM is rated differently and from different manufacturers, my first guess would be a RAM incompatibility; either between RAM modules or between a module and the motherboard. Did the computer run fine before you attempted to OC? Did you run memtest86 for longer than 12 hours with each stick of RAM? Processor stability - prime 24 hrs.? If you can say that your system was stable prior to the overclock, then it looks like that could be the issue. What voltages were you running through your RAM and CPU? Are the default voltages and SPD timings the same for the RAM sticks? Maybe you have gone through all of this, but maybe something I mentioned could help.

The computer was just idle. I was sitting on my bed playing gamecube and heard it shut off, thinking it restart but it didn't. I took out the cmos battery over night, put it back in and nothing happened, my neons flickered for a split second when I flipped the psu on but nothing else happened.

The computer ran fine before I attempted to oc, no problems whatsoever. I ran memtest, but only when the computer was oced. I got a few errors so I bumped down to oc and haven't ran it since. I was running 2.85 ram voltage and 1.55 x 5.0. The timings aren't the same on the sticks but that hasn't given me much problems before this.

My friend also mentioned that it sounds like the cpu is fried. What I'm wondering is....if the cpu is fried, why won't anything else turn on? Shouldn't the neons at least turn on? Wouldn't the computer at least post an error?
