I am running Windows 2000 Server --- Everthing has been fine till the other day i deceided to look at my event viewer log. I clicked on event viewer the 3 came up then i clicked on "system" and it said "System log is corupt" ???? And would let me in I think i have found an document on how to get rid of it but I want to know what caused it and how to prevent it in the future. Also if this is something I should be really worried about.

Thanks

Shouldn't be an issue, until you decide you want to troubleshoot something and its not available for you to look at. I have no stability problems at all and I have a couple of things that are giving me errors in there.

How about this. Try to right click on the System listing and click on clear. Maybe that will clear it out and reset it. If that doesn't work try the New Log View setting up above it. I think that will start up and monitor system errors and messages. OH, just looked again. When you create a new log view, right click on the new one and drop down to view and let it expand. Choose the all records selection and then newest first. This should be default settings as I haven't changed mine and thats what I just wrote to you.😀
