I am wondering if anyone can help me with this dilema.
I have recently made an upgrade from a AthlonXP 64 4000 to AthlonXP64 X2 4800, at that time I had Abit A8N Motherboard. I started to have alot of system lockups. I have tried the Microsoft Hot Fix, AMD Drivers, AMD X2 Optimizing Utility etc. (I do not use Cool'N'Quiet).
Then I decided to swap motherboards because I wanted to do SLI.
I have purchased ASUS A8N-SLI-Premium.
Since the install of OS I have had the system freez up on me twice (in 2-3weeks time). Each time was during a game play (one was World of Warcraft other was Call Of Duty 2). Each time the freez up happened the Audio is still running but it is stuck on a single note from the game, cant move mouse, CTRL+ALT+DEL does not work. When I RESET the PC there is nothing in the event logs for the OS, which is a little strange.
So, i am wondering if anyone else has seen this.
I have installed all the same HotFix from Microsoft, AMD Drivers for the X2, the motherboard drivers are from the CD, not website, Creative drivers are from the CD.
My system currently is below.
Thank you
Mark
