I first need to thank all of you who helped me get this rig running, so now maybe someone out there can help with one last problem. On start up after the ram check I get 'hit del to enter set up' for approx 25 to 30 sec. I have tried manually setting an ip address for the sis 900 lan and it did not help, even though ecs' knowledge base said that was the fix. There are no confilcts in my device manager and all devices have been recognized properly. Please let me know what else I can try. It is just really annoying waiting when I know the insides want to fly.

amd 1133 mhz with stock hsf(not looking to oc)

voodoo 3 3000
ecs k7s5a

maxtor 7200 15g hd, slave
onboard audio and lan,

If any other info is needed, just ask.

Try going into bios and enabling the option for "Quick POST" or quick bootup, something to that effect.

I have tried both settings for 'quick boot', enabled and disabled and still I get the same result. The only effect that setting seems to have is it skips the ram test. Anything else it does is transparent to me.
