Please Help,

Built my first system and having problems with it freezing-up when I play all video games (Splinter Cell, NASCAR, IGI to name a few). When it locks up I have to unplug it to restart. Works fine when doing Word proccesing or online. If anyone can help,it would be greatly appreciated. THANKS

I don't know enough about your motherboard to know if there are any known RAM dependent issues with it, but if it allows you to set your RAM timing to something slower, for example, as PC2700, that would tell you if your RAM is the problem.

Have you run any diagnostics?

If Norton System Works runs on XP, it may help. That's what I use, but I'm running Win98 SE. There are other system tester's as well.
