system file checker Win98SE

I have two 800EB"s on CUSL2-C MB. Clean install Win98SE. Asus 7100GforceMX 32 meg Vid. 128megs ram in one 256 in the other.Both have 30 gig IBM HD and the latest updates. Does anyone know why when I run file checker I get that it has found that "setupx.dll" may be corrupted. Thanks for any help

I have this on a machine at work so can't check here at home.
I may be very wrong, but thought it had to do with windows finding something in a cab folder to do with office 2000 setup.
Will look on Monday if I can remember. Not clear on why one
would use that file on hard drive anyways... using a batch setup????
I have a few nice books, (I should read them).

I think it has something to do with the version left after installation. I get that every time I do an install.

I beleive it's from Updating Directx hence the setupX.dll I get this after updating too :)

Thanks for the replies. I did a clean install on one of the machines and it was there immediatly. Before I had done a thing except install the OS Win98SE. Fixed it right away and continued installing burner and variouse updates and so far it has not caused a problem.So my conclution is it gets screwed up on the OS install.........curious

Well any ideas.My conclusion was wrong. It worked fine yesterday and today it just locks up on the 3rd and sometimes the 5th progress bar.I have to hit the reset button.Everything else is fine from what I can tell but as soon as I go near anything in the system information the system freezes. I have a 30 gig IBM GXP-asus 7100pure(nvideadriver)-SB Live-on a CUSL2-C-256megs ram. No programs installed yet. Except for internet connection and ZONE-ALARM. I have all win98 updates and the drivers for CUSL2-C. ITS driving me nuts. thanks for any help.
