System Fans for XP2000

Hi there.

I'm just about to buy some case fans to keep my Athlon XP2000 cool and i'm hoping for some help.

My case has fittings for an exhaust fan directly onto the case, however I would also like an intake fan. At the front of the case is a plastic mount as opposed to the screw fittings at the back. I just wanted to confirm that this mount is meant for a fan and not something entirely different. Is it ok for a fan to sit in this mount without anything to hold it securely such as screws. The mount looks as if it will house an 80mm fan quite nicely.

Also the case I am adding these to is a Kobian KOB24. If anyone owns one of these cases do they know what size of fans this case will take?

Hope someone can help 🙂

yes that front plastic bracket is a fan mount for an 80 mm fan. it is a pretty stadard way to mount front fans. The down side is that usually the intake openings in the front metal face of the case where the fan is supposed to draw air from are usually much to small and to few to allow for a decent volume of air. It is recommended that you cut out a circular opening to allow the fan to draw a good volume of air to realize the most benefit from your case fan.
