After updating my audio and video drivers yesterday (many restarts), I put my pc through normal use: email, music, trillian, and some San Andreas.
Last night as I'm going to bed, I decide to shut it down, which I haven't done in a while. When I get up this morning, I push the power button, and....nothing. Except a 'beeeeeep' every ~1.5 seconds lasting for about a half-second.

The motherboard is an ep0x 9npa and has never given me any trouble. The code that shows up on the LED on the mobo reads "C1" which isn't normal.

amd 3000+
nvidia gefore 6600gt
audigy 2
WD 200gig jb
2gig geil ram

Let me know what you can...I can give more info if needed.
Thanks!

C1 is a memory error. Try the memory in different slots and 1 stick at a time in different slots. Also may want to try and reset the CMOS.

long, persistent beeps indicate a memory problem. Try re-seating the memory and using one stick at a time until you find the problem stick.

Thanks for the input...I'll try reseating and rotating RAM positions, and will update accordingly.

Well, after taking one stick out, it started fine. I put it back in, and it still starts fine.
Strange.

I did get an error message from the nVidia software, though, saying video card performance was tuned down due to lack of power availability. Now, the seasonic I have in there (can't remember if it's a 430 or 500w supply) is just over a year old, so that shouldn't be an issue.
Should I be scared?
