System crashes - Mobo problem?

I've got a Dell Inspirion 3847 running Win 8.1. I've upgraded the power supply to 500W, but the system is crashing when I use either an XFX R Series Ghost Radeon R7260X (2GB) or an Asus EAH6450 graphics card, but not when I use only integrated graphics.

The systems seems to crash when warm, but also immediately upon coming out of Sleep mode. Occasionally, it locks up in sleep mode and requires a cold boot get going again.

Any ideas what's going on and, even better, how to correct it?

The power source is an EVGA 500W (P/N 100-W1-0500-KR).

Is the Dell an i3 or an i5? I would delete hiberfil.sys & disable Windows Hibernate to see if that fixes your problem.
