I know what your thinking, ''It's a virus.' Sorry, updated today and reran again (takes 2 hours per scan).

I could be doing anything from listening to music to playing games when my computer throughs up a solid blue screen with a grey diaglog box in the middle and a blinking curser several rows down.
Restart the system and everything works perfectly.

System specs
-------------------

Tyan Tomcat 815e
Intel PIII 600 (eb?)
320mb ram
Sound Blaster live x-gamer
and a bunch of hard drives (4)

What am I missing here?

You probably have something set to run at midnight, like a software update, a virus scan, or something in windows task manager.

And while you're at it, disable Windows Scheduler . . . a genuine PITA!

win 98se
Norton Antivirus 2001 w/updated definitions
No Windows Scheduler running at all

As long as it doesn't turn into a pumpkin or the ruby shoes don't turn into nikes, you're fine. 😛

Run LiveUpdate.
