Hello everyone:

Please see this thread for information on my earlier problems - http://forums.anandtech.com/me...id=32&threadid=1493490. I had a huge crash late last week, and a lot of stuff went wrong. I couldn't get past POST.

Basically, my videocard and a stick of RAM were destroyed. I have purchased a new video card, and some new temporary RAM while my other stick is being RMA'd (I have a new pair in the system -- my normal pair is split up, with one stick on RMA, and the other stick waiting outside of my case).

I bought a new power supply, new RAM, new videocard... and I thought everything would be fine. But... no, of course not. My computer is absolutely falling apart, apparently.

Here is my current setup:

Pentium 4 3.0C
1 Gig of Ram in Dual-Channel -- NEW
XFX Geforce 6600GT 128MB DDR3 -- NEW
ASUS P4C800E-Deluxe
120 Gig SATA drive, and 80 Gig IDE secondary
DVDRW+- and DVDRAM
ThermalTake Silent PurePower 480W -- NEW
Antec Case
4 Case fans

The system is booting and running fine, except for when I try to start a game.

If I load up CounterStrike: Source, or NASCAR 2004 -- Crash. The system shuts down completely. The monitor goes black. Then my system reboots fine, loads windows, and goes to the desktop.

Terrifyingly, this is somewhat similar to what happened when my system crashed badly last week. I was playing CS:S, and the system crashed. When I tried to boot up, I had all of the horrible problems outlined at the thread up top.

So what do I do? My system is functioning normally enough for work, etc.

The only parts that *aren't* new are the CPU and the mobo (with the exception of the case, fans, HDD, etc.).

My mobo has the newest BIOS. My vid drivers are up to date. My temperatures (CPU, mobo, vid card, etc.) all seem to be absolutely fine, and actually very low, as I use my system normally. Although of course I am not able to check them as the system crashes (since I am in a game). All of my fans are spinning well, and not dropping.

I am at the end of my rope. I have dropped SO much money already getting these new parts (although some of it will be made back in re-sales, returns, etc.). But, I just don't know what to do. Part of me just wants to sell of my system and get a work-only Dell laptop or something.

Someone... anyone... please.... help me.

So, what can I do?

By the way, in addition to all temps being fine, and all fans being quick -- nothing is overclocked.
