System crash

To keep it short, my computer crashed. Our D: partition of the hard drive is still untouched, and most of our programs were on that. A good amount of them don't work because windows was reinstalled, but for the ones that do, they're just there.

If I open up the control panel (Change/Add/remove software) I don't see any of them listed.

For the programs that DO work, how can I get them in there without reinstalling them?

You either need to restore your software registry hive from a backup, or reinstall.

(Sorry)

sigh...

that sucks.

anyone know how i can move the location of my "my documents" folder?
nevermind, got it...

anything I could use to restore lost data?

Is there anything remaining on the boot drive (system restore volume, etc?). You might be able to pull a software hive out of there.
