go download SiSoft Sandra 2001 TE and have it run the burn-in wizard. do about 100 cpu and memory benchmarks. you can download that at Download.com.

...also go to www.simmtester.com and download their free memory tester -- I was having really odd problems with Win2K on an HP Pavillion until I discovered one of the 256 MB SDRAMs had a bad spot at the 210 MB mark -- it worked well enough to fool power-on self-test and because of the high location Win2K was running OK most of the time.

I always do 12 hours of Prime95 testing and another 12 hours of SiSoft Sandra's burn-in wizard for all systems I build for all customers.

Since I know most of my customers will just use it for the internet, email, chatting and the occasional gaming. I do have exceptions when someone wants the "ultimate" gaming machine or for the highend AV editing... then I also include a 3dmark 2001 12 hour test...

I would fully recommend a burn in test ;)
